Volunteers

Volunteers form a very special and important part of our Calvary organisations. They complement but do not replace paid employees. They perform a number of essential support services—visiting patients, providing companionship, escorting or directing patients and residents around the facility, reading to patients and residents, providing library and magazine services, driving patients to and from appointments, providing art and massage therapies, staffing kiosks and gift shops, and supporting the vital fundraising activities of auxiliaries.

We direct a considerable amount of resources towards volunteer programs. By providing volunteers with skills and training that can be used outside the LCM Health Care environment, the benefits of these programs flow beyond their involvement with us to the broader community.

Our volunteers make an important difference through their time, gifts and donations to our work and contribute substantially to the quality of care and involvement of LCM Health Care in the daily lives of those around us.
