Calvary Services

We believe that health care is an essential component of the social fabric rather than simply a commodity

LCM Health Care provides a broad range of health, aged and community care services in New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, the Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory. These include:

• public and private hospital care
• retirement, living and aged care
• community and home care, and
• comprehensive palliative care.

Hospital care
On an average day we have over 1550 inpatients in our 15 hospitals. Each year our hospitals care for more than 164,600 patients, including an average of 6800 babies born in our six maternity units. Our emergency departments see around 60,000 people.

Aged, community and home care
Our aged care services accommodate more than 700 people in three levels of care—independent living (self-care), hostel accommodation (low care), and nursing home accommodation (high care). We also care for more than 10,000 people each month through our community-based home care services, including people with disabilities, those who have been ill in hospital and older Australians.

Palliative care
Central to our mission, we are the largest palliative care service provider in Australia. We provide specialist palliative care services to a total catchment area of around 2.5 million people. Five of our facilities provide specialist palliative care through hospice and community based care and or hospice based services care for around 5,000 people each year. Our care models include a focus on community outreach programs, care into nursing homes, and rural outreach.
